Therapist Client Relationship

I am beginning a Master's program in social work this fall. I am a second career student and also have been seeing a therapist of my own for a little more than one year.

My therapist, whom I really like and respect has some connection as a past graduate of the school I will attend. Also this individual is occasionally a presenter at conferences held by the University that I would likely attend.

I plan to continue my therapist/client relationship with her. My husband is sometimes involved as well. What is the appropriate way to approach potential interactions with this professional?
