FBI profiler?

I had to find this out to but there is no such job title as an FBI profiler. You can become a special agent but the job title of a profiler only exists in movies. You can look on the FBI website for requirements to make your dream a reality that's what I did.

To become an FBI Special Agent, you must be a U.S. citizen or a citizen of the Northern Mariana Islands. You must be at least 23 years of age, but younger than 37 upon your appointment as a Special Agent. Applicants must possess a four-year degree from a college or university accredited by one of the regional or national institutional associations recognized by the United States Secretary of Education. All candidates must possess a valid driver's license and be completely available for assignment anywhere in the FBI's jurisdiction. In addition, applicants must be able to meet all of the FBI's Special Agent Qualification Requirements.

Hello Sandy,

You need to have an understanding of the human mind as well as human behavior. In terms of educational requirements it is desireable that you have an advanced degree in a Behavioral or Forensic Science as a qualification. Most candidates have experience in violent and sexual crimes, as well as abductions. You should also focus on increasing your analytical skills the job you seek is not an easy one but with hard work, and perseverance you will succeed.

-Good Luck

Hello,

I do not know how old you are but if you are out of high school I would commence college immediately. I wanted to become a profiler myself. Unfortunately, I am 41 and I am finishing up my degree in psychology this year. I started late and that hindered me from working with the FBI. The process is not an easy one. They have an age limit I believe the oldest you can be an be considered is 35 or 37 that is the max. age. You must have some experience in law enforcement. I would begin getting your degree in psychology, or forensic psychology.
