First of all apologies for knowing very little about psychology so my question may be a stupid one.

If you have multiple personality disorder, is it possible that one of your personalities can have a personality disorder of its own?

My friend has been diagnosed with several disorders, two of which are conflicting and not possible for a person to suffer with at the same time, and this is how it's been explained to him!

Can that actually happen or do they simply not know what's wrong with him?

Thank you
