Door Closing Obsession

When I was little I remember being obsessed with keeping all doors closed to each room inside the house. For some reason that stopped for some time, but now I notice my eight year old daughter doing the same thing, specially when we leave the house to go out.

She does a walk through and closes every door to every room. Why is that?
