Why Did I Change?

I retired two years ago. Since then I have turned over all major responsibility to my wife. We now list her as head of household and I turned over all money issues to her.

I now take care of all household chores. I clean the house, do the food shopping, take care of the laundry and cook all our meals. If we go out to dinner I hand her the check to take care of. It is like I have given her all the responsibilities I previously did and took all her responsibilities.

I don't know why I just wanted to be free of everything I did before. My wife was a little leary of the change at first but now seems to enjoy being in charge. What would make me want to change this dramatically in our roles.
