Side Effect of Dementia or Not?

My wife had been having memory issues. She had what was called a psychotic event where she got lost and was missing for 36 hrs. After testing, her Neuro-psychologist said it was not dementia or Alzheimer's.

She now will not talk, answers only yes or no. She has no emotional connection any longer to her kids or animals (Which she loved) or to me her husband. So I'm not sure if this is PTSD or what. I am not able to get answers from her psychiatrist. Dementia?
