Psychology of Sex

I am currently involved in a relationship with a man who has issues with sexual intimacy. He is most sexually aroused when he thinks I do not want sex or when I am not enjoying it. He says that the moment that it becomes apparent that I want sex he gets "turned off".

He believes this issue might stem from being rejected sexually by women when he was younger and fantasizing about sex or just using sex for purely his own enjoyment as sort of a form of revenge. I feel that this is negatively affecting our relationship because I have a high sex drive and he doesn't because of his issues with this.

If anyone has advice, or just can provide me with some insight into his problem I would greatly appreciate it.
